A review of the management of Tuta absoluta (Meyrick) (Lepidoptera: Gelechiidae) with special reference to biological control using plant extracts

Abstract: The tomato leaf miner Tuta absoluta is one of the most destructive pests of tomato plant Solanum lycopersicum L worldwide. Synthetic chemical insecticides are mainly used to manage T. absoluta. However, their excessive use has led to serious problems concerning human health, non-target organisms and environnement.
