Aiming at the location research blank of the AG600 amphibious aircraft marine rescue base, the location decision index system of the AG600 is established, and the AG600 location decision model based on the interval intuitionistic fuzzy theory and improved TOPSIS method is constructed. Through investigation and statistical analysis, the evaluation system with 10 indices is determined based on applicability, safety, and accessibility, and in the process of quantization of index assignment, a fuzzy conversion method for different indices is proposed. The interval intuitionistic fuzzy number of each index is obtained by combining objective calculation and subjective assignment, and the interval intuitionistic fuzzy decision matrix is constructed. The fuzzy entropy method is used to calculate the index weight, and then the improved Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity (TOPSIS) is used to evaluate and rank the rescue bases. The scientific and reasonable location decision results are obtained. Finally, taking the South China Sea islands as an example, the correctness and reliability of the proposed model is verified by comparison with the calculation results of the score function method and the projection method.INDEX TERMS AG600 amphibious aircraft, interval intuitionistic fuzzy TOPSIS, location decision, marine rescue base.

Performance Evaluation of Solar Power Plants: A Review and a Case Study

The world’s electricity generation has increased with renewable energy technologies such as solar (solar power plant), wind energy (wind turbines), heat energy, and even ocean waves. Iran is in the best condition to receive solar radiation due to its proximity to the equator (25.2969° N). In 2020, Iran was able to supply only 900 MW (about 480 solar power plants and 420 MW home solar power plants) of its electricity demand from solar energy, which is very low compared to the global average. Yazd, Fars, and Kerman provinces are in the top ranks of Iran, with the production of approximately 68, 58, and 47 MW using solar energy, respectively. Iran also has a large area of vacant land for the construction of solar power plants. In this article, the amount of electricity generation using solar energy in Iran is studied. In addition, the construction of a 10 MW power plant in the city of Sirjan is economically and technically analyzed. The results show that with US$16.14 million, a solar power plant can be built in the Sirjan region, and the initial capital will be returned in about four years. The results obtained using Homer software show that the highest maximum power generation is in July.

Applications of Thermal Energy Storage in Solar Organic Rankine Cycles: A Comprehensive Review

Organic Rankine Cycles (ORCs) are promising approaches for generating power from medium or low temperature heat sources. In this regard, ORCs can be used to indirectly produce power from solar energy. Due to intermittent nature of solar energy, storage unit should be coupled with solar ORCs to improve the output power and operating hours. In this article, studies on solar ORCs integrated with various types of storage units were reviewed; the main findings of such studies were extracted and provided. Based on the findings, several factors such as the temperature and pressure at the inlet of the turbine, as well as the operating condition affect the performance of solar ORCs with thermal storage unit just like the conventional ORCs. In addition, the optimum size of the storage unit in the solar ORCs was found to depend on the operating condition. From the financial perspective, it can be noted that the storage unit affects the corresponding indicators. Moreover, the improvement rate in the ORCs by applying storage units could be affected by the configuration of the system.
