A review on the integrative approach for economic valuation of forest ecosystem services

Abstract: Forests have the most biodiversity and provide vital ecosystem services. They offer numerous forest-related services, some of which can be commercialized. This improves social, cultural, health, and scientific life. Nonmarketable and intangible services are discounted because people think they're endless and free. Humans have changed the natural and social worlds through using resources and improving well-being. Public and private decision-makers often compete over natural capital. The loss of biodiversity, cl… Show more

“…The plausibility of LT mt (defined as a tool to reduce defoliation/tree mortality caused by budworms) is ultimately determined by the economic valuation of coastal firs in SC relative to the wetland (including ecosystem services, biodiversity value, touristic attributes, etc.). Somehow unexpectedly, a complex monetary assessment of forest value [146][147][148] seems to be the major factor obscuring the application of LT mt in forestry versus agriculture.…”

“…Forest and natural areas are of utmost importance for worldwide biology. Moreover, a sustainable and resilient economy that is climate-neutral depends heavily on the forestry industry [79]. Forests are a vital pillar for bolstering biodiversity preservation, accomplishing carbon sequestration, and enssuring the supply of diverse ecosystem services in Europe's policies by addressing environmental sustainability, biodiversity loss, and CC [80,81].…”

“…The ability to accurately predict crop yields well in advance of harvest is of utmost importance, particularly in a geographical area that is known for its unpredictable climate conditions. The monitoring of agricultural crop growth conditions and the forecast of prospective crop yield play a crucial role in the strategic planning and policy formulation for ensuring food security and predicting agricultural economic returns (Abhishek et al, 2023;Raihan, 2023i;Voumik et al, 2023c). One potential avenue for addressing this issue is the formulation of policies aimed at enhancing both the production and sustainability of agriculture (Pawlak & Kołodziejczak, 2020;Raihan & Said, 2022).…”
