Abstract:I describe two new species of the previously monotypic, Chilean endemic nysonine genus Cresson: C. mariastea Packer, sp. nov. and C. salitrera Packer, sp. nov., redescribe the type species C. parvispinosus (Reed) and provide an identification key for the three species. I clear up the confusion associated with the original type material of the latter species by designating a specimen from the type locality as the lectotype.
