“…The Malagasy suture has little or no record of events before 0.53-0.51 Ga metamorphism, leading to many interpretations for its early history including a reworked Archean suture in the greater Dharwar Craton (Tucker et al, 2011a;Brandt et al, 2014), a two-stage suture closing at 0.74-0.63 Ga in the south and 0.53-0.51 Ga in the north , a diachronous suture closing progressively southwards between~1.38 and 0.75 Ga (Ishwar-Kumar et al, 2013) and a suture that closed at 0.53-0.51 Ga during terminal collision with no earlier history (Collins and Pisarevsky, 2005).
