Abstract: Kaposi sarcoma (KS), caused by Herpesvirus‐8 (HHV‐8; KSHV), shows sporadic, endemic, and epidemic forms. While familial clustering of KS was previously recorded, the molecular basis of hereditary predilection to KS remains largely unknown.
