A Scientometric Analysis of Studies on Patellar Dislocation

Abstract: Background: Patellar dislocation is attracting considerable research interest. Purpose: To assess studies on patellar dislocation using a scientometric method to better understand the current status of research and explore future study directions. Study Design: Scoping review. Methods: The Web of Science Core Collection database was selected to retrieve publications on patellar dislocation. Articles and reviews written in English with patellar dislocation as the main topic were included. Conference abstracts, … Show more

“…Then, we exported the fully documented and cited reference data from the WOS database to a "plain text" file and imported it into CiteSpace [32]. In terms of parameterization, we split the time slices by one year and selected the cosine algorithm to calculate the uniform strength of the network and extract the top 10% of targets in each time slice [33]. We selected the node type and set the keyword threshold (Top N) to 50, the g metric (k=10) was used for the extraction node threshold, and default values were used for all other parameters [34].…”

“…A scientific review has been carried out in the field of sports, among others: philosophy of sport and physical education [38], dislocated patella [39], scientific production of exercise science in Iran [40], sports and fitness [41], triathlon [42]. However, a significant limitation is the absence of statistical reviews in the fields of sports and religion.…”
