A scoping survey of ChatGPT in mathematics education

Abstract: This initial article of the Special Issue on Chat GPT in mathematics education is in two parts: (1) a report on a scoping review study that provides the background to the articles in the Special Issue; and (2) the editorial that affords a glance at the seven articles of the Special Issue.
