A Sea Hare L-Amino Acid Oxidase to Fight Multiple Antibiotic-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus

Abstract: Staphylococcus aureus is a pathogen notoriously known for its ability to resist antibiotics. Here, we reported the activity of the sea hare Aplysia dactylomela ink L-AAO protein, dactylomelin-P, against 100 clinical isolates of multiple antibiotic-resistance S. aureus with a prevalence of 30% methicillin-resistant (MRSA).
