“…An important backdrop for this article is a pilot study with in-hospital tutorials inspired by Socratic dialogue (Nelson, 1965) where a hospital unit's nurse preceptors, the college teacher, and student nurses discuss clinical experiences and together acquire knowledge (Haugan, 2011;Haugan, Sørensen, & Hanssen, 2011).
