 A sensor placement strategy based on an enhanced damage localization method in beam-like structures: Saddle Point Criteria

Abstract: The sensor deployment is one of the concerns in structural health monitoring. A novel sensor placement strategy based on a sensitivity-based damage detection method is presented. An existing damage detection method is simplified and adapted for multiple damages and different type of beam-like structures and proved to be appropriate numerically.
