A series‐biased distributed amplifier for high‐efficiency applications

This article presents a novel circuit configuration which combines a high-voltage dc bias network with a distributed-amplifier iopology. This iype of circuii offers muliiociave bandwidih and improved eficiency in systems by reducing dc power consumption where the primary dc power is at voltage levels higher than required operaiing voltage for the active devices.Received 12-11 -90 ABSTRACT This article examines the polarimetric method of identijkation of a target in the presence of ground clutter. The clutter is modeled as a two-layer random medium. The complex scattering matrix for the clutter is obtained by using Born approximations carried to the second order to extract the crosspolarized scattered fields. The test target used is a loop of conducting wire oriented arbitrarily. It is found that the choice of polarization is one of the key factors if one has to identify targets in presence of clutter. This work does not take into account the mutual coupling between the target and the clutter sources. The important results are analyzed and discussed.
