El Rf se calculó dividiendo la distancia recorrida por la surfactina u otro componente, en la placa por la distancia recorrida por el frente del solvente y sirvió para identificar el componente en la muestra (Dlamini et al, 2020) Para soporte de los resultados obtenidos con la cromatografía en capa fina, se llevó a cabo una identificación de los principales grupos funcionales por Espectroscopía de Infrarrojo con Transformada de Fourier (FTIR).
