A smart privacy preserving framework for industrial IoT using hybrid meta-heuristic algorithm

Abstract: Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) seeks more attention in attaining enormous opportunities in the field of Industry 4.0. But there exist severe challenges related to data privacy and security when processing the automatic and practical data collection and monitoring over industrial applications in IIoT. Traditional user authentication strategies in IIoT are affected by single factor authentication, which leads to poor adaptability along with the increasing users count and different user categories. For addr… Show more

“…Such mechanics can be applied in a wide range of industries, enabling the collection of large amounts of data. As a pilot technology of the Fourth Industrial Revolution [69] IoT mechanics have already been fruitful in many areas, such as smart stationing [70], agricultural fidelity [71] and management of water usage [72]. Remote health monitoring can be implemented for patients at home instead of in a hospital, minimizing pressure on hospital assets such as beds and doctors.…”

“…By using the EIT imaging method, it is possible to image the internal part of objects, such as concrete structures or the inside of the human body. With the advent remote structural health monitoring and non-destructive testing impedance, imaging is considered as an efficient method [18,19] with enough security in complex environment [19] . The output of the EIT system is an image of the electrical conductivity distribution inside the target object.…”

“…It is vital to share the processed data with other individuals, institutions, and organizations in order to generate a high level of value from it. However, because this data may contain various personal data that can directly or indirectly identify the individual, sharing such data without adequate protection will result in significant problems, such as attackers revealing the identities of data owners over the shared dataset [2,3]. On the other hand, if data privacy safeguards are overly stringent, data utility will suffer.…”
