“…To establish construct validity, the 34-item PSQ was shown to factor into the four theorized dimensions of social support consisting of 32 of the 34 items. Correlations between scores from Part II of the Personal Resource Questionnaire-85 (Weinert, 1987) and the PSQ were .42 and .48 for mothers at 4 and 6 weeks postpartum, respectively, suggesting concurrent validity (Logsdon et al, 1996).
