“…In the process of managing the operation of highway tunnels, traffic and environmental conditions are the focus of attention for managers. The spatiotemporal variation of traffic volume and composition, as well as vehicle speed, can determine whether there are traffic safety hazards in the tunnel and whether the luminaires meet the requirements of traffic safety [26][27][28]. This paper selects data from ventilation, lighting, and traffic detection sensors for analysis.…”

“…Te integration of autonomous driving technology in electric vehicles represents a signifcant leap forward in enhancing overall efciency and sustainability in the automotive industry. By combining the advancements in electric propulsion with autonomous capabilities, these vehicles ofer a seamless and intelligent transportation solution [4]. Autonomous electric vehicles (AEVs) have the potential to optimize energy consumption, improve trafc fow, and reduce environmental impact [5,6].…”

“…Drivers’ behaviors are strongly influenced by lighting condition variations along serial tunnels, especially by the “black hole” and “white hole” effects near tunnel portals which frequently result in a crash risk [ 5 ]. To be specific, sharp lighting difference between the exterior and interior of the tunnel portal reduces the sight distance of the driver in the approaching vehicle, and then the driver experiences visual oscillation incurred by an abrupt lighting transition through the entrance and exit zones of the tunnel [ 6 , 7 ], as represented in Figure 1 . In addition, once the crash occurs, a secondary crash (SC) is highly likely to happen since drivers may not have immediate responses to the hazardous traffic turbulence [ 8 ].…”
