Abstract:<p>The incompatible insect technique based on <italic>Wolbachia</italic> is a promising alternative to control mosquito-borne diseases, such as dengue fever, malaria, and Zika, which drives wild female mosquitoes sterility through a mechanism cytoplasmic incompatibility.
