A Study of Electrochemical Machining of Ti-6Al-4V in NaNO3 solution

Abstract: The titanium alloy Ti-6Al-4V is used in many industries including aviation, automobile manufacturing, and medical equipment, because of its low density, extraordinary corrosion resistance and high specific strength. Electrochemical machining (ECM) is a non-traditional machining method that allows applications to all kinds of metallic materials in regardless of their mechanical properties. It is widely applied to the machining of Ti-6Al-4V components, which usually takes place in a multicomponent electrolyte so… Show more

“…Експерименти, представлені в роботах [1][2][3][4][5], показали домінуючу залежність динаміки анодної поляризації від густини струму в імпульсі. Чим більша густина струму в імпульсі, тим до більшої величини і за менший час поляризується анод.…”

“…However, the dissolution process of alloy materials is affected by elemental composition, electrochemical reaction valence, and material peeling action. Therefore, it is difficult to obtain the current efficiency of alloy materials by theoretical calculations, and it is usually measured by experimental techniques [11][12][13][14]. Several experimental measurement methods used to obtain the current efficiency of target alloy materials at different current densities have been reported in the literature.…”
