One significant shortcoming in increasing productivity of creative industry especially in developing country such Indonesia or other ASEAN countries is finding the appropriate technology to be used by considering the need, how to select, and technical support for the use of technology. Furthermore the lack of technology access also became an important constraint for creative industrialists to be more effective in running their business for winning the global competition. This study aim to identify the model of technology used by the developed countries to be implemented by ASEAN creative industries by doing the benchmarking study from several well-known and steady countries in implementing the optimal technology as the key to the successful global business operation. The methodology use for this purpose is using the qualitative research methods based on overviews on empirical evidence regarding the creative industries technology in developed countries, case study overview approach is built to provide a preliminary study of technology adoption in developed countries. The findings of the paper include the analysis of technology based on social, health, technological, economic, financial, institutional, and environmental consideration and constraint in implementing the technology in the creative industry. Conclusions are drawn that implementing technology in such creative industry should consider particular aspects due to its unique and specific industry characteristics. The paper closes with future research recommendations on validating the model in each of 15 creative industry categories and try to find the specificity of each category in technology consideration and standards.

Ink droplet spreading on fabric determines the printing accuracy of ink‐jet printing, and fabric pretreatment greatly affects the ink droplet spreading. In order to reveal the relationship between fabric pretreatment and printing accuracy of reactive dye ink on silk fabrics, the fabrics were pretreated by urea and sodium alginate to control the ink droplet spreading. Results showed that droplet spreading was influenced by surface energy, water absorbing capability and capillary distribution of the pretreatment agent on fabric surface. Urea acted as a moisture‐absorbing agent accelerating the migration of ink from the pretreatment paste to the silk fibers. Final diffusion image and diffused area of droplet on the pretreated fabrics were also investigated. The final image of droplet deposited on sodium alginate and urea pretreated fabrics were circular shape and crisscross shape, respectively. Compared with untreated fabric, results clearly demonstrated that sodium alginate could restrict the droplet spreading due to the diffused area reduced from 85 mm2 to 47–58 mm2. Moreover, urea and sodium alginate as the pretreatment agents were applied on ink‐jet penetration printing. The penetration printing exhibited good printing accuracy, and the color performance and printing accuracy almost the same between obverse side and reverse side of the printings. © 2018 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Geleneksel baskının uzun üretim prosesleri, yüksek enerji ve su kullanımı, geniş depolama alanı gerektirmesi, çevre kirliliği gibi olumsuz etkileri sebebiyle son yıllarda dijital baskı ön plana çıkmaktadır. Bununla birlikte dijital baskı proseslerinde geliştirilmesi gereken teknik kısıtlamalar da bulunmaktadır. Kumaş türü, kullanılan mürekkebin formülasyonu, ön işlemler ve ard işlemler gibi faktörler baskının son halinde renk farklılıklarına sebep olarak sorun teşkil edebilmektedir. Özellikle baskı kalitesi ve püskürtme özelliklerini doğrudan etkilemesi nedeni ile dijital baskı mürekkepleri dijital baskının en önemli bileşenlerinden biridir. Mürekkeplerin sahip olması gereken bazı özellikler bulunmaktadır ve bu özellikler tıkanmayı önleyebilmek için baskı kafasının çalışma prensibine uygun olmalıdır. Baskı mürekkeplerinde bulunması gereken temel özellikler; saflık, parçacık boyutu, viskozite, yüzey gerilimi, stabilite, iletkenlik, pH, renk haslıkları olarak kısaca özetlenebilir. Bu çalışmada, baskı mürekkeplerinin genel özellikleri, formülasyonları, çeşitli ön işlemler ve kullanılan renklendiricilere göre karşılaşılan teknik kısıtlamalar anlatılmaktadır.
