A Study of the Genetic Structure of Hybrid Camels in Kazakhstan

Abstract: Camel farming is gaining scientific interest due to its unique agricultural characteristics. Camels are versatile for milk and meat production, wool, racing, transport, and tourism. To use their full potential, it is essential to improve our understanding of the genetic structure of these animals. One-humped and two-humped camels have received detailed genetic descriptions, while there is no such information for their hybrids, which outperform their parent species in several agricultural characteristics. Thus,… Show more

“…It is a unique animal in desert and semi-desert areas as it can survive under harsh environmental condition (Li et al, 2023). Among factors that reduce the reproductive performance of Camelus bactrianu are delayed age of puberty, short breeding season, prolonged gestation period and high embryonic mortality (Amandykova et al, 2023;Wang et al, 2020).…”

Among factors that reduce the reproductive performance of Camelus bactrianu are delayed age of puberty, short breeding season, prolonged gestation period and high embryonic mortality (Amandykova et al, 2023;Wang et al, 2020).Therefore, exploring the regulatory factors affecting the reproduction of Camelus bactrianus is of great significance for improving their reproductive performance.CCK is initially a gut hormone (Spirichev et al, 2023) and later detected in the central nervous system (CNS) (Lavi et al, 2004), reproductive system (Comninos et al, 2014) and endocrine system (Cherl et al, 2023). The biological effects of CCK are mediated by the interaction between two different subtypes of receptors, CCK-A and CCK-B (Honda et al, 1993).…”
