BACKGROUNDWith the advent of USG, CT and MRI it is easy to visualise and localise the pathologies of liver, which is of great help in surgical interventions like resection and transplantation procedures.Variations of fissures on the surfaces of liver in the Central Indian population have been observed in the present study, some of which are not in consonance with that described by other workers. In an era of segmental resections, transplantation and laparoscopic surgeries the findings of the present study can be of great significance.
