A Study on the Classification of Nursing Diagnoses by Student Nurses

Relationships Among NANDA‐I Diagnoses, Nursing Outcomes Classification, and Nursing Interventions Classification by Nursing Students for Patients in Medical‐Surgical Units in Korea

“…The larger number of nursing diagnoses selected in this study compared with two previous researches may be due to improved accessibility and ease of selection of nursing diagnoses in the Web-based nursing documentation system. The most frequently selected nursing diagnosis was acute pain; this result is consistent with previous research conducted with nursing students (Lee, 1995;Lee et al, 1987;Min, 1995). In an analysis of nursing diagnoses selected by nursing students during their clinical practicum in medical‐surgical units, Min () reported 37 (35.2%) out of 98 NANDA‐I diagnoses. In a similar study, Yang () reported 33 (21.3%) out of 155 NANDA‐I diagnoses selected by nursing students for patients with cerebrovascular diseases.…”
