The problem of modified thermohaline magnetoconvection is considered in the present paper. An attempt is made to establish the relationship between various energies in Veronis' type configurations. The analysis made brings out that for Veronis type configuration the total kinetic energy associated with a disturbance exceeds the sum of its total magnetic and thermal energies in the parameter regime
