A sulfonate ligand-defected Zr-based metal–organic framework for the enhanced selective removal of anionic dyes

Abstract: A novel and highly crystalline sulfonate-defected MOF-808 was synthesized via a one-pot solvothermal method. The material showed a high selectivity toward anionic species in a binary-component solution comprising both anionic and cationic dyes.
