The objective was to identify problems that warrant study, to encourage ef¬ forts toward such study, to contribute knowl¬ edge and ideas, and to review information and theories. Following introductory remarks to this effect by Dr. Kerr White, chairman of the Health Services Study Section, the conferees discussed several issues in specified aspects of health activity.
