A Survey on Requirements of Future Intelligent Networks: Solutions and Future Research Directions

Abstract: The context of this study examines the requirements of Future Intelligent Networks (FIN), solutions, and current research directions through a survey technique. The background of this study is hinged on the applications of Machine Learning (ML) in the networking field. Through careful analysis of literature and real-world reports, we noted that ML has significantly expedited decision-making processes, enhanced intelligent automation, and helped resolve complex problems economically in different fields of life.… Show more

“…erefore, in our proposed relay-based approach, relay selection for the handover process is of prime importance to avoid unnecessary handover. In the existing literature [35][36][37][38][39][40][41][42], most relay selection approaches are based on CSI and historical information. However, both selection criteria have severe issues as it is hard to measure CSI due to rapidly varying channel conditions and fast movement of UAVs also challenges UAVs selection based on the historical information.…”

“…Overall, edge computing can improve a system's performance, dependability, and security by putting computation and storage systems closer to the point of use. Congestion and instability have become key issues due to the active nature of consumer demands due to the advancement of pervasive network solutions [8]. User networks have developed between data consumers and owners.…”
