“…The outcome of this study result can be corroborated by previous scholars (Gopal et al, 2021;Loton et al, 2020;Fatoni et al, 2020;Pei & Wu, 2019;Means et al, 2010), who discovered that that student who used online learning mode performed reasonably better than students who learned through the conventional classroom method. To further support the findings of this research (Darius et al, 2021;Lockman & Schirmer, 2020;Mahdinejad & Amoii, 2011) has asserted that online learning has heightened student's academic performance through the use of various online platforms and has exposed students to a new way of interacting with their teachers and this has stimulated interest and motivated students to gain knowledge which led to amplified academic performance.…”

“…Darius et al explained the present education scenario in the country during the ongoing pandemic, for which they designed a questionnaire for university and college students to determine the effectiveness of the online teaching and learning methods in place. They suggested that animations, online quizzes, presentation slides, and student version software are useful for learning, and e-learning helps students clear their doubts during live sessions by posting their queries as well as assists them in learning topics at their own pace (Darius, Gundabattini, & Solomon, 2021). Muthuprasad et al focused on the self-study preferences of students in agricultural studies during COVID-19, for which they surveyed the students online to determine their preference attributes for online classes.…”

“…All academic, curricular and co-curricular activities came to a standstill, faced with an uncertain future. Online learning helped resume activities in many higher education institutions, ensuring uninterrupted learning through synchronous and asynchronous modes (Darius et al, 2021). The COVID-19 outbreak is reported to have compelled many Universities to swiftly move to online mode of teaching, with many instructors finding it stressful and difficult to develop online modules in a short period of time (Hew et al, 2020) with some instructors relying on emergency online methods (Hodges et al, 2020).…”
