A Sustainable and Green Approach to Corrosion Inhibition of Mild Steel by Rangoon Creeper Flower Extract in 1 M HCl

Abstract: A Rangoon creeper flower (RCF) extract was investigated as green inhibitor to mitigate corrosion of mild steel in 1 M HCl solution. In the study, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, polarization techniques, and gravimetric methods were used. A significant reduction in the corrosion rate with increased concentrations of the RCF extract at varied temperatures was noted.
