“…A total of 9,440 documents were searched in this study, and after de-duplication, reading the title, abstract and full text, 22 documents were finally included ( 10 , 12 , 22 , 24 , 25 , 31 - 47 ). These included two guidelines ( 34 , 36 ), 11 systematic reviews ( 10 , 22 , 25 , 31 - 33 , 35 , 38 , 41 , 42 , 45 ), 1 evidence summary ( 37 ), 1 technical report ( 24 ), 2 practice recommendations ( 12 , 39 ), and 5 randomized controlled trials ( 40 , 43 , 44 , 46 , 47 ). The basic characteristics of the included literature are shown in Table 2 .…”

“…Notably, this meta-analysis only focused on facilitated tucking and did not include other postural interventions. A recent review [ 74 ] found that 7 different modified positions have positive effects on sleep, flexion maintenance, and pain management in preterm infants. This indicates that facilitated tucking is not necessarily the best position to reduce pain, and the efficacy and safety of different positions should be analyzed according to their different physiological conditions.…”

“…The sleep profile provided by our SDT output can be used in studies where sleep disruptions are compared to neurodevelopment, sleeping environment, sleeping habits (e.g., co-sleeping or sleeping position), acute illness (e.g., infections), or maternal health [ 5 , [65] , [66] , [67] , [68] , [69] ]. Conversely, the NAPPA system may provide transparent and interpretable measures for assessing efficacy in educational and other interventions in infant sleep [ 70 , 71 ]. The use of SDT alone or in combination with individual measures (sleeping position, movements) will open a possibility to understanding what parental report about sleep quality (diaries) means when looking from the infant's perspective.…”
