“…Some behavioral strategies, such as breathing and relaxation training, may be delivered in a single, brief session in a clinic setting, while multicomponent intervention packages require more time and resources to deliver outside of the medical visit. Individuals and families experiencing more general stress may have more barriers to attending frequent intervention sessions, making telehealth approaches a potentially useful avenue to pursue [85]. More work is needed to determine the most effective and least burdensome approach to intervention delivery for different types of stress.…”

Participants were ≥18 years old and required to have access to a telephone.…”

“…Future research is also progressively focusing on technology, such as fall-detection devices that allow a rapid intervention (Chaudhuri et al 2014) and distant methods of assistance for older people with mobility issues are being put into practice. Moreover, telehealth interventions have been demonstrated to be successful in improving depression and anxiety symptoms (Mochari-Greenberger et al 2016). In addition, it is urgent to redesign psychogeriatric models and to consider that more research is needed on older adults' perspectives as well to improve psychogeriatrics services (Sadavoy 2009).…”
