Abstract:Certain ternary intermetallic compounds formed between rare‐earth and transition metals are of particular interest, since their high saturation magnetization and strong, uniaxial, magnetocrystalline anisotropy are of advantage for the practical applications as permanent magnets. The thermodynamics of the Fe‐Gd‐Mo system are assessed based on phase‐diagram information and the heat capacity data. The Fe‐Gd description was modified to account for the experimentally‐observed ternary phase equilibria involving bina… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
