“…With the recent powerful technical advances of nanomaterials and emerging versatile SERS substrates, SERS has provided a viable platform for rapid, nondestructive, and sensitive identification of hazardous contaminants in food. Recent reviews exhibit that RS and SERS have offered the promising possibility in foodstuffs safety inspection (Craig et al., 2013; Jiang et al., 2021; Petersen et al., 2021; Wang et al., 2021), antibiotic residues evaluation (Girmatsion et al., 2021), bacterial recognition (Ahmad et al., 2021), meat quality determination (Beganovic et al., 2019), water pollution measurement (Z. Li et al., 2015), microorganism detection (Wang et al., 2018), and nondestructive analysis of agri‐foods (Wang et al., 2021).
