A TLM‐Based Surge Analysis of Grounding Electrodes

Abstract: SUMMARYIn this paper, representations of a perfectly conducting thin wire and an imperfectly conducting medium in the transmission line modeling (TLM) calculation are briefly explained. Then, the method is applied to analyzing surge responses of a vertical parallelepiped grounding electrode and a square-loop grounding electrode.
