Abstract:This paper describes the development of a tool for automatic generation of optimal power management strategies. Given the user inputs, which are dynamic vehicle model, driving cycle and optimization criterion, the tool first produces a simplified powertrain model in the form of static maps, before dynamic programming is used to find an optimal torque split which minimizes the chosen criterion. The tool does not require a transparent vehicle model, which makes it possible to work on models hidden for intellectu… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
