Abstract: This is a tribute to John Edmond, professor emeritus of biological chemistry in the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, a renowned neurochemist who had a leadership role in founding the ICBEM meeting series in 1993. John was known for his very warm and engaging personality and his innovative approaches to studying the developing brain and auditory system.
