Abstract:Osteoporosis is a common disease in the elderly, correlated with increased fracture risk, disability and mortality. Bisphosphonates are efficient and have been widely used in the treatment of osteoporosis. Nevertheless, long term bisphosphonate use has been linked with atypical femur fractures.
