A versatile recording device for the analysis of continuous daily external activity in colonies of highly eusocial bees

Abstract: As pollinators, bees are key to maintaining the biodiversity of angiosperm plants, and for agriculture they provide a billion-dollar ecosystem service. But they also compete for resources (nectar and pollen), especially the highly social bees that live in perennial colonies. So, how do they organize their daily foraging activity?
