Abstract: Background and objectivesWnt-inhibitor sclerostin has anti-anabolic effects on bone formation by negatively regulating osteoblast differentiation. Loss of sclerostin expression results in high bone mass and bone strength in patients with sclerosteosis and sclerostin knockout mice.
