Abstract:Nitrogen-substituted polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PANHs) are fundamental species important in biological molecules, astrochemistry, and combustion. They have been detected on meteorites with non-terrestrial isotopic abundances, potentially play a role in prebiotic chemistry, and have been observed in the atmosphere of Titan. They are suggested to be responsible for some of the unidentified infrared (UIR) emission bands in the interstellar medium and have been identified as intermediates in the combustion … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
