Abstract: BackgroundMerkel cell carcinoma (MCC) is twice as likely to recur in immunosuppressed (IS) patients as in immunocompetent (IC) patients. Iatrogenic IS due to autoimmune disease (AD) may influence prognosis differently than intrinsic IS such as due to hematologic malignancy.
