Abstract:The organization of the genome nucleotide (AT/GC) composition in vertebrates remains poorly understood despite the numerous genome assemblies available. Particularly, the origin of the AT/GC heterogeneity in amniotes, in comparison to the homogeneity in anamniotes, is controversial.
