“…These data confirm the many potential clinical advantages of using intradermal injection—dose reduction, reduced number of injections needed to maintain elevated FSH levels, and reduced risk of adverse events [28]. The superficial layer of the skin appears to suggest a sort of an innate “slow-release system” (to be demonstrated with other preclinical and clinical studies), and it is interesting to note that the terminology “local intradermal therapy” is used to highlight the fact that it modulates the absorption and diffusion of drugs at a local level [5], even if till today studies were not produced with the technique of microdialysis.…”

“…Furthermore, mixed literature is available regarding the aneuploidy rates in preimplantation genetic screening using array CGH or SNP in women receiving higher or lower doses of gonadotropins for the COS (25)(26)(27). With the aim of reducing the physical, emotional, and financial burden of patients, a more patient-friendly approach, including a lower dose of gonadotropins and a reduced number of injections, should be taken into account (19,28,29). In the present subject, direct injection of gonadotropins into the ovary induced restoration of the ovulatory function without any adverse effect.…”

“…Nevertheless, our results show that mesotherapy could provide a valuable contribution to the treatment of pain and sensory symptoms in CTS, particularly among those patients with less severe clinical signs (SWQCS score of 16 or less), and its effectiveness seems to be long lasting. Previous studies demonstrated that injection of drugs via mesotherapy into the dermis slowly achieves higher local concentrations in the underlying tissuses, as compared to intramuscular or subcutaneous administration [17,28]. Therefore, mesotherapy allows the use of reduced dosage of anti-inflammatory drugs, minimizing their adverse events.…”
