Absence of critical exponents in ferroelectrics: experiments of Hilczer and theory of Levanyuk and Sigov

Abstract: The pioneering breakthrough of Bozena Hilczer and her coworkers showed that so-called critical phenomena in many ferroelectric crystals are entirely produced by defects.
