“…Up to date, Er 3+ spectroscopic properties of several erbium niobates, in which the Er 3+ ions are incorporated in the form of stoichiometry or impurity doping, have been studied. These erbium niobates include polycrystalline Er-doped KNbO 3 [1], Er-doped potassium Nb 2 O 5 powder in a molar ratio of 1:1 [13,14]. It was found that the Er 3+ ion in ErNbO 4 phosphor shows definitely different absorption and emission characteristics compared with that in the LiNbO 3 crystal due to different crystal structures.…”
