Introduction. Many results discussed below are contained in other works, for example, [1][2][3]. As a rule, however, the derivations were given in internal reports and preprints. Thus there is a need to publish the derivation of some of the helpful relations. This paper is concerned with the relations pertaining to the basic reactor-cell characteristics appearing in the equations of the method of surface harmonics.We recall that the initial system of equations from which the final equations of the method were derived can be divided into two subsystems. The first subsystem, which relates the moments over all variables of the neutron distribution at the boundary of a separate cell to the corresponding moments at the boundaries of neighboring cells, has the following form:
