Abstract 1566: Notch-1 regulation of the PTEN - mTOR axis in prostate

Abstract: Prostate cancer affects one in three men over the age of 60. Loss of expression or function of PTEN is the most commonly observed molecular defect in human prostate cancer. Thirty to 70% of clinical cases exhibit loss of this critical tumor suppressor. PTEN is an essential negative regulator of PI3K/Akt signaling.
