Abstract:Introduction:
In current guidelines congestive heart failure (CHF) is an indication for renal artery stenting, however there is no data on the utility of stenting for the prevention of CHF. We sought to determine the effect of renal artery stenting in patients with atherosclerotic renal artery stenosis (ARAS) without a history of CHF.
Hypothesis:
In ARAS renal artery stenting does not prevent incident CHF in patients with no history of CHF.
