Abstract:Advanced non-small cell lung cancers (NSCLC), frequently display increased expression of 14-3-3 gamma (14-3-3γ); a scaffolding protein shown to have oncogenic capacity. This aberrant increase in expression has also been correlated with poorer survival, indicating that upregulation of 14-3-3γ results in a more aggressive tumor phenotype. Our lab is in pursuit of characterizing the mechanisms driving this more advanced cancer phenotype. One such mechanism currently being investigated is 14-3-3γ's ability to prom… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
