Abstract:Oncolytic virotherapy represents a promising therapeutic strategy for cancers that do not respond well to immune checkpoint inhibitors. Oncolytic viruses (OV) preferentially replicate in and lyse tumor cells, leading to systemic immune stimulation. Studies have shown that hypersialylation promotes tumor growth and metastasis, as well as the suppression of immune cells. Cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) are known to facilitate tumor invasion and angiogenesis and maintain immunosuppressive microenvironment in… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
