Abstract: Background: Acute decompensated heart failure (ADHF) is a primary reason for hospital admission and readmission in the elderly. Prior studies have demonstrated that sonographic pulmonary B-lines and large inferior vena cava (IVC) diameter with reduced collapsibility may accurately predict ADHF readmission.
